What does the Right to Work Legislation Do to Unions?

What does the Right to Work Legislation that
was just passed in Michigan really do to Unions?

This is how things worked before “Right to work legislation” was passed.

1. John Doe gets a job at Demo Company.

2. Union of ABC Workers exists at Demo Company.

3. State Law requires all employees at Demo Company must pay monthly dues to Union of ABC Workers.

4. Every month $100 is automatically taken out of John Doe’s paycheck and paid to Union of ABC Workers.

5. John Doe needs that $100 but there is nothing he
can do, he has no rights to keep his $100 even though he doesn’t want to join
the union.

6. Every year Union of ABC Workers donates $100,000 to Democrat Politicians.

7. Every year Union of ABC Workers donates $500,000 to television commercials that support Democrat Politicians.

8. Every year Union of ABC Workers donates $1,000,000 to PAC’s in Support of Democrat Politicians.

9. John Doe is not Democrat and objects to his Union Dues being spent this way, but he has no voice.

10. Michigan Passes Right to work Legislation.

11. John Doe immediately refuses to join Union of ABC Workers.

12. John Doe has an extra $100 in his paycheck every month because it does not automatically go to the Union of ABC Workers.

13. Union of ABC Workers has $1,200 less each year to donate to Democrat Politicians.

14. Union of ABC Workers has $1,200 less each year to donate to television commercials that support Democrat Politicians.

15. Union of ABC Workers has $1,200 less each year to donate to PAC’s in Support of Democrat Politicians.

This is why the Union Leadership is Raging Mad in
Michigan.

This is why Democrats are Raging Mad in Michigan.
